Genie Connections – Child Safety & CSAE Policy
Last updated: 30 November 2025
Genie Connections is operated by Genie Dating App Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are an 18+ only dating app and we have a zero-tolerance policy to any form of child sexual abuse, exploitation, or endangerment.
This page describes our standards and practices on:
- Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) – any behaviour that sexually exploits, abuses, grooms, or endangers a child; and
- Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) – any visual, audio, or text content that depicts, or appears to depict, a minor in a sexualised or exploitative context.
1. Scope and age restrictions
- Genie Connections is strictly for adults aged 18 or over.
- Users must not create accounts on behalf of minors or allow minors to use their accounts.
- Any attempt to involve minors in romantic or sexual conversations or content is forbidden.
2. Prohibited conduct
The following behaviour is strictly prohibited on Genie Connections:
- Uploading, posting, sharing, or linking to CSAM or any sexualised content involving minors.
- Grooming, flirting with, or attempting to sexually exploit a minor, on or off the platform.
- Requesting or sending nude or sexual images where a minor is, or could reasonably be, involved.
- Impersonating a minor or misrepresenting your age in order to engage in sexual or romantic activity.
- Any other behaviour that could reasonably be seen as sexualising or exploiting a child.
Accounts involved in any of the above may be immediately suspended or permanently banned, and we may report the behaviour to law enforcement or child-protection organisations where appropriate.
3. Prevention, moderation and enforcement
To reduce the risk of CSAE/CSAM on our platform, we may:
- Require users to confirm that they are 18+ only when registering and during account reviews.
- Use a combination of automated tools and human review to detect content that may involve minors or sexual exploitation.
- Review user-generated content (including photos, profile text and, where permitted by law and our privacy policy, reported messages) when it is flagged or reported for child-safety concerns.
- Remove content and restrict, suspend, or permanently ban accounts that violate this policy or our Terms & Conditions.
4. Reporting child safety concerns
We provide mechanisms for users to report concerns directly to us, including:
- In-app reporting or feedback tools (where available), and
- Emailing us at contact@genieconnections.com.
If you see anything on Genie Connections that you believe involves CSAE, CSAM, or any child at risk:
- Do not download or redistribute the material.
- Use our in-app reporting tools where possible.
- Email us with as much detail as you can safely provide (usernames, links, dates/times, and screenshots where lawful to share).
5. Our response and cooperation with authorities
When we receive a report or otherwise become aware of potential CSAE/CSAM, we will:
- Act promptly to review and, where appropriate, remove the content from our services.
- Suspend or terminate accounts where we believe the user is involved in CSAE/CSAM or poses a risk to children.
- Report confirmed CSAM to the relevant authority in line with applicable laws (for example, the appropriate national child-protection organisation or law-enforcement agency).
- Cooperate with law-enforcement and child-protection agencies as required by law.
6. Legal compliance
We are committed to complying with child-protection and online-safety laws in the jurisdictions in which we operate, and with app-store requirements, including the Google Play child-safety standards.
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or platform rules.
7. Child safety point of contact
